Forgotten History: Getting to Know Our Distant Cousins
As the magical folk slowly awaken to political and social importance they will be assailed by an interesting opinion: that everything they believe and stand for in regards to their spirituality or practice is a lie.
Oh there will be allies, and more then a few who do not hold this spurious opinion, but much of what we call the “Left” is still awash in either Victorian Materialism or worse “New Atheism.” The reason I bring this up is that every reader here KNOWS, from direct experience, that what those folks deem to be illusion is very, very real. We have seen things move that never should have, felt the cold presence of those departed, got a scratch or sting from unseen claws, and basked in the strange numinous nature of beings not totally of this world.
These events, these experiences, are part and parcel of our practices. We live them everyday. That’s not even counting the strange things we can accomplish when we call on our allies and direct our Will. Again, something that according to “the world as it is,” or should I say “the world as we are TOLD it is,” should not exist. And yet, here we are.
And we are not alone.
You didn’t think those Goetic legions just sat around when we weren’t calling them up, did you? Or that the governments of the world haven’t noticed this thing we call magic?
Come now, my dear Revolutionary. Don’t be so naive.
The Grandpa Nobody Likes to Talk About
The myth, however beautiful it is, that is we are the children of a new dawn, a grand magical entrance into geopolitics must be shattered. While we ARE in respect to our anti-capitalism we are plainly NOT the first to walk out on stage. And some of our fore-bearers are not the nicest.
Of course I mean the Nazis.
There is no doubt Himmler was a dyed in the wool Occultist, if not a strange form of pagan. Whether creating seasonal festivals, jumping off to Tibet to look for lost civilizations, investigating ley lines, or enforcing his own brand of “pagan ethics” we cannot deny his fondness for the topics we would never imagine could birth such a monster.
“Peter Padfield notes that from late 1923 to early 1924, Himmler’s reading included books on spiritualism, second sight, astrology, telepathy and the like. Himmler was interested also in herbalism, rural life and agriculture [Graber] – he was rather a “back-to-nature”, “New Age” sort of man.”(Link Above)
Hitler too while amongst friends laughed at Himmler’s mysticism, yet it was these very mystics that sponsored his rise:
“At this time, Hitler received critical assistance from Dietrich Eckart, an anti-Semitic, occultist playwright and journalist. Part of this help included “lending him books” and “helping to improve his German – both written and spoken. Eckart, a member of the Thule Society(An Occult Lodge) with connections to the Army, also introduced Hitler to wealthy and influential residents of Munich; they then began supporting Hitler and the Nazis. Eckart also helped to transfer funds from Henry Ford to Hitler and the Nazis…
Several other Thule Society members – Rudolf Hess, Alfred Rosenberg, and Hans Frank – became Nazi leaders and had key roles in the Third Reich. The Nazi choice of the swastika symbol was influenced by the Thule Society’s example.”
Again, once in power Hitler disavowed any loyalty to the Occult and actually banned the Thule Society. But was he merely using Occultists for his own gain or was he much more of a believer then he let on? From the same article:
“Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels wrote in his diary, “1932 has brought us eternal bad luck … The past was difficult and the future looks dark and gloomy; all prospects and hopes have quite disappeared.”
At this critical moment, Hitler got spiritual assistance…Hitler sought help from Erik Jan Hanussen, a famous astrologer, hypnotist, and occultist whom he had met in 1926 in Berlin. (Ironically, Hanussen was Jewish, and was born in a Viennese jail cell on June 2, 1889. Hitler was born in Braunau, Austria on April 20, 1889 – the Saturday before Easter). Hanussen had taught Hitler how to project his voice and how to use his hands to emphasize emotions; he thus had contributed to Hitler’s ongoing success as a spellbinding orator. In the autumn of 1932, Hanussen told Hitler that his horoscope showed that he had been cursed. To remove this curse, Hanussen said that it was necessary for someone to travel to Hitler’s home town and take a mandrake root from a butcher’s back yard. Hanussen volunteered to do this himself, and at midnight on a night of a full moon, he took a mandrake root from a suitable location in Linz, Austria. Hanussen returned to Berlin with the mandrake root on New Year’s Day, 1933. He told Hitler that the curse had been lifted, and that Hitler’s ascent to power would resume on January 30.”
We all know how well that particular ritual worked.
Comrade Psychic Spies on Washington
But dabbling with spiritual topics was not the forays of the Nazis alone. In the Soviet Union, under the very materialistic banner of Marxist-Leninism, some very interesting things were going on:
“RG: Boris Konstantinovich, why was your service enclosed in a shroud of secrecy?
BR: Probably because we were engaged in matters directly tied to control of both societal consciousness and the consciousness of wholly real individuals. And also searched for possibilities of defending a person from an unsanctioned intrusion into his consciousness.
RG: So the Chekists as well studied occultism here in Russia?
BR: There’s nothing paradoxical that such a subject matter was within the security organs’ field of vision. From ancient times humanity has been interested in what the consciousness represents. The powerful of this world used various technologies for influencing the psyche.
In the twentieth century, the magical practices of ancient shamans entered the scientific level of research, which immediately fell into the intelligence services’ field of vision. Special attention was devoted to this problem in Great Britain,Germany, and the Soviet Union. In our country, for example, practically all the people who possessed supernatural capabilities were under the control of the KGB.
You can’t even conceive what sort of war of minds was unfolding in this field in the first half of the twentieth century. I’d hardly be exaggerating if I say that sometimes real “astral” battles were waged. And all of this was classified and camouflaged, probably no less than the nuclear project.”
It’s no joke. Russia had been studying the field of parapsychology long before the Revolution. Under the Bolsheviks it continued with State approval, though slightly tempered in the 30’s by Stalin’s refusal to allow research. Still, the labs weren’t closed. They merely stopped reporting on their results.
After Stalin’s death research continued in earnest, spearheaded by the the influential Dr. L. L. Vasilev who remarked “The discovery of the energy underlying telepathic communication will be equivalent to the discovery of atomic energy.”
The Communist Party took him very seriously. The Red Army had already looted whatever evidence and results involving the occult the Nazi’s produced; they now began to apply it to psi research. By 1963 Dr. Vasilev was reporting success at long-distance telepathic experiments between Leningrad and Sevastopol, a distance of 1200 miles, with the aid of an ultra-short-wave (UHF) radio transmitter. The success spurred a mandatory psi-training regimen for all Cosmonauts as a back-up for electrical failure…and they were getting results, going so far as to note telepathy was easier in space then on Earth.
Hypnotism, Telepathy, Dowsing, Clairvoyance, Magic and Psychokinesis all saw military use under the Soviet Union with an estimated 500 million dollars worth of funding and 20+ research labs(staffed with physiologists, physicists, psychologists, mathematicians, cyberneticians, neurologists, and electronic engineers) to back it all up. And results were expected, no matter what the cost.
“Yuri Andropov issued personal orders to push full speed ahead with psychic warfare. Andropov’s directive also urged scientists to forget being squeamish about injuring or killing research subjects in the race to achieve their goal.”
Boris Konstantinovich’s interview corroborates this. He goes on to describe their training, shielding presidents from psychic attack, even this little gem:
“A couple weeks before the start of the bombardment of Yugoslavia by American aviation, we held a seance to connect with the subconscious of Secretary of State Madeline Albright.”
Of course the Soviets weren’t alone.
“BR: In the middle of the 1980’s, problems of creating psychogenerators and remotely acting on the human psyche were studied practically in all developed countries. Serious scientific experiments were conducted, and the circle of ones that succeeded in comparison with the beginning of the century expanded significantly.
In the USSR, the importance of this problem was generally realized, as well as the danger concealed in the possibility of invading and manipulating another’s consciousness…
At the beginning of the 1990’s, I had a meeting with one particular CIA officer. We received him well, and as a result the American announced that nothing on our nuclear missile submarines was a secret for the US. As if their specially trained psychics were tracking each of our submarines, “observing” the actions of the crew and the condition of the strategic weaponry. Along with that he presented us evidence that, however paradoxical, indeed confirmed the rightness of his words.”
What’s particularly interesting about this statement is, even if you doubt the rest of it, the CIA itself has said the last one is true.
But the American program was nothing compared to the Soviet’s. The above Rand Corporation study sullenly noted:
“(1) Soviet research is much more oriented toward biological and physical investigation of paranormal phenomena than is U.S. research, which is dominated by psychologists;
(2) although visible U.S. and Soviet level of effort appear roughly equal, over forty years of research in the United States have failed to significantly advance our understanding of paranormal phenomena;
(3) if paranormal phenomena exist, the thrust of Soviet research papers appears more likely to lead to explanation, control and application than is U.S. research”
Comrade Konstantinovich agrees:
“We told him that their “viewing” our nuclear submarines was impressive, but that we could, even better, calmly “take a stroll through the minds” of the American president and his inner circle. After which we gave him information that could only be known by a head of state.”
Even without closing the Psychic Gap the US still had ties to the Occult.
Meet Michael A. Aquino Ph.D., one of the founders of the Temple of Set and High Priest until 1996. He is close confidant of the Church of Satan as well.
Far be it from me to criticize somebody’s venture into the Left-Hand path. But you see, Dr. Aquino is not just “some person.” Meet the other Dr. Aquino:
He’s also a Lieutenant Colonel of Military Intelligence in U.S. Army, and is qualified as a Special-Forces officer, Civil Affairs officer, and Defense Attaché. Also a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, the National Defense University and the Defense Intelligence College, and the State Departments’ Foreign Service Institute. You can learn about his extensive military history here.
And he wrote an interesting article widely distributed amongst American Intelligence professionals called “From PSYOP to Mindwar: The Psychology of Victory.” And what was Mindwar all about?
“In its strategic context, mindwar must reach out to friends, enemies and neutrals alike across the globe … through the media possessed by the United States which have the capabilities to reach virtually all people on the face of the Earth. These media are, of course, the electronic media-television and radio. State of the art developments in satellite communication, video recording techniques, and laser and optical transmission of broadcasts make possible a penetration of the minds of the world such as would have been inconceivable just a few years ago.”
So total information control on a global scale combined with a propaganda campaign against domestic citizens, allies, enemies, and…anybody else. The tactics themselves are genius, Neitzschean Will in a PsyOp form, the author even going so far as to note:
“Unlike PSYOP, MindWar has nothing to do with deception or even with ‘selected’ — and therefore misleading — truth. Rather it states a whole truth that, if it does not now exist, will be forced into existence by the will of the United States. The examples of Kennedy’s ultimatum to Khrushchev during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Hitler’s stance at Munich might be cited. A MindWar message does not have to fit conditions of abstract credibility as do PSYOP there; its source makes it credible. As Livy once said: ‘The terror of the Roman name will be such that the world shall know that, once a Roman army had laid siege to a city, nothing will move it — not the rigors of winter nor the weariness of months and years — that it knows no end but victory and is ready, if a swift and sudden stroke will not serve, to persevere until that victory is achieved.”
Of course, as anything aligned with the US military, there is a distinctly dark tinge to it:
“Like the sword Excalibur, we have but to reach out and seize this tool; and it can transform the world for us if we have the courage and the integrity to civilization with it. If we do not accept Excalibur, then we relinquish our ability to inspire foreign cultures with our morality. If they then desire moralities unsatisfactory to us, we have no choice but to fight them on a more brutish level…
This, however, is only the sociological dimension of target receptiveness measures. There are some purely natural conditions under which minds may become more or less receptive to ideas, and MindWar should take full advantage of such phenomena as atmospheric electromagnetic activity (12), air ionization (13), and extremely low frequency waves (14).”
I encourage you to go out and grab the pdf for a quick read. That those last 3 bits of science are in the hands of professional mind manipulators in service to the American Empire is quite terrifying. Go ahead, find out why. He notes their potentialities in the footnotes as an afterthought. If those technologies are something to be casually referenced I’m afraid what might be classified. Combine THAT with Nazi occult recipes and Soviet-style Psychotronics and things get truly Lovecraftian: horribly weird and horribly terrifying.
And that would all be enough, right? Some of the most powerful governments in the last 60+ years funding, experimenting, and engaging in sorcerous and psychic battles?
“Nothing is coincidence, not if there’s money to be made.”
How about those wily Capitalists? Via Rune Soup:
“The man at the centre of this séance was Andrija Puharich, US Army Captain and author of a government paper on the weaponisation of ESP. And this is the guy that is moving in the same murky circles as bishops Jack Martin and Fred Crisman.
The farmhouse in question was owned by his bizarro Round Table Foundation which appears to have received funding from the CIA.
Puharich first gathered together these nine people on a warm night in early June. But the most interesting results were actually achieved in New Year’s Eve of the same year.
And it’s a line-up that positively defines “could not make this up”. The group included:
- Arthur Young, who invented the Bell helicopter. However at the end of WWII he abandoned military aviation to concentrate full-time on the paranormal.
- Arthur’s wife, Ruth… previously of the Forbes dynasty. Her son, Michael, would get a job at Bell Aerospace through her and Arthur’s influence. (Michael’s wife got Lee Harvey Oswald his job at the book depository. She was learning Russian from Oswald’s wife who was living with her in Irving, Texas. Oh, and her father worked for a CIA front called the Agency for International Development. Lee Harvey Oswald left the coffee company in New Orleans, saying to his co-workers he was “going to work for NASA.” After the assassination, two other coffee company employees get jobs at NASA. Just saying.)
- Mary Bancroft; of the Bancroft dynasty who would much later sell the Dow Jones and Wall Street Journal to Murdoch. She also happened to be the mistress of the then-CIA chief. (The one JFK fired after the Bay Of Pigs after saying he was also going to break up the CIA… who conveniently went on to investigate JFK’s death. Just saying.)
- Marcella Du Pont of the Du Pont family.
- Alice Bouverie who was born into the Astor dynasty. (Her father died on the Titanic and her first husband was a Czarist prince who would work for the OSS during WWII.)
A seance for the uber-wealthy with Military-Industrial backgrounds? No big deal right? Only things got a lot weirder:
“These gods, who were nine in number as well, were part of one great, creator god known as Atum. The other gods consisted of Shu, Tefnut, Geb, Nut, Osiris, Isis, Seth, Nephthys, and sometimes Horus.
Communication with these entities was handled by the medium, an Indian gentleman referred to as Dr. D.G. Vinod, who slipped into a trance state at 12:15 AM and began speaking as ‘the Nine’ by 12:30. Afterwards Dr. Vinod would claim to have no memory of the conversation that preceded between the Ennead Nine and their human counterparts.
During the course of the seance the mystical Nine informed the human nine that they would be in charge of bringing about a mystical renaissance on Earth. From there the Nine ventured into quasi-scientific, philosophical constructs that eventually led to the acknowledgement that they, the Grand Ennead, were in fact extraterrestrial beings living in an immense spaceship hovering invisibly over the planet and that the assembled congregation had been selected to promote their agenda on Earth.”
This is long before the popularization of any “Ancient Astronaut” theory. Makes you think, eh? And considering how much money was commanded by those at that seance we can only wonder how well they followed orders. Remember Zecharia Sitchin, the AA theorist who claimed humanity was made by the Annunaki to be slaves? He was bankrolled by the Rockefeller Foundation. It’s almost like that worldview perfectly suited them.
The Capitalist connection to all this has already been incredibly detailed and explained by Gordon White over at Runesoup in his groundbreaking Archonlogy series. I can’t do any better. Do yourself a favor and read all of it.
And pour yourself a strong drink while you read it. Trust me, you’ll need it.
The Chessboard Presents Itself
And so here we are, with a much more sobering understanding of all the chess pieces on the board. Large scale protests or actions against the State/Capitalism will have to keep in mind that not only may they be being watched by psychic spies from a distance, but that the participant’s thoughts might be altered by force or ionic shifts in the local atmosphere, as well as be under the heel of a total media blackout/mindwar.
Perhaps this has been one of the contributing factors to the failures of the traditional “Left:” while the rest of the world was summoning up dead Heads of State, taking off curses, and engaging in astral battles they willingly denied this aspect of reality and as such were always left fighting with one hand behind their back.
Our own emergence then takes on a special significance. Not since Lenin started rounding up witches and psychics have the forces of Anti-Capitalism been playing with a full deck, and even then it was only in service to the Soviet State!
Our actions are filled with significance: this is the first time the non-authoritarian forces of Anti-Capitalism are playing with all the cards, this is the first time they can not only ATTACK on a level they were formerly denied but also DEFEND against the forces that have been toying with them for so long.
Breathtaking, isn’t it? That we are the psychical/magical reinforcements the world never knew it needed. Pat yourself on the back, Comrade.
There is much work to be done and it appears our distant cousins are not yet finished.
Let’s join the fray.
